The AKC owns, has a symbiotic relationship with -- or has
thoroughly intimidated -- America's major canine media.
Meaningful criticism has been virtually silenced. Opposing voices
and viewpoints have thus been rather successfully suppressed.
A platform from which anyone harmed by AKC policies and
practices can be heard has been needed. The CEA has been
re-energized to meet that need.. This web page will, hopefully,
make such essential communication possible -- worldwide. And
almost certainly affordable.
If you have a bone to pick with the AKC -- you're in the right
company and in the right place!.
We are all volunteers. No CEA activist will be paid more than
$1 per year as a binder for services. Still, we have to pay rent
on this Web domain -- and there will be inescapable expenses for
phone, mail, software, post office boxes and miscellaneous office
supplies.
Donations are both needed and solicited. If
you can appreciate the need and wish to become a supporter, join
us. Send your non-deductible check payable to CEA, Inc. (or
Committee for an Ethical AKC). Mail it to our treasurer, Dr. Beth
Goldowitz, P.O. Box 5815 Grand Island, Neb. 68802. Anonymity if
requested will be jealously honored, guarded and respected. As a
suggestion: it is anticipated that a $100 check might cover most
of the CEA's expenses for one month. Lesser amounts will be
gratefully received. A one year, supporting, membership is just
$25.
Upon request donors of $100 or more will receive either an
annual report or a closing statement, whichever comes first. Such
requests may be made at any time. Contributions will be listed,
but the contributors will not be listed -- except as they may
authorize such.
Confidentiality assured
With multiple state and federal criminal investigations of the
AKC now in progress, that organization is becoming increasingly
paranoid, aggressive and vengeful. We remain mindful that the AKC
is a well-practiced intimidator. Therefore, as in the past,
anyone wishing to either comment or to contribute funds on a
confidential basis is asked to please include a note so
instructing us.
Your confidentiality will be maintained. Just two of our
officials, each notably discreet and with a need to know, will
have access to the full list of the CEA's financial supporters.
Only our secretary and editorial director will have download
access from the CEA's E-mail. Each has legal protection, as
lawyer and as journalist, against intrusion upon professional

Purely anonymous editorial matter cannot and will not be
entertained. It will be summarily discarded. The same applies to
commercial messages. We're all volunteers. Please be considerate
of our time and patience.
When filing "a bone to pick" it is requisite that you include your name, full street address (or P.O. box number), and phone number. An E-mail address, if any, might also facilitate our response. Again, your material will be confidential if you so request. However, we may, when we contact you, ask if you are ready to openly help us work for healthy change.
